Our Initiatives

Chinese Herb Garden
Our Chinese Herb Garden is meticulously designed to support students in exploring the therapeutic potential of traditional Chinese herbs. It functions as a dynamic living classroom, fostering hands-on learning and advancing knowledge in herbal medicine. The garden also emphasizes sustainable gardening practices, reinforcing the critical connection between environmental stewardship and health.

Carbon Sequestering Mural
In partnership with the Art Club, we created a series of murals and refurbished furniture using pioneering carbon dioxide-absorbing paint. This innovative project combines art with science, enhancing the visual appeal of shared spaces while actively contributing to the reduction of atmospheric CO₂ and promoting eco-conscious design.

Recycled Stepping Stones
We designed and installed visually captivating stepping stones crafted from recycled materials. These sustainable pathways seamlessly blend functionality and aesthetics, demonstrating how environmentally friendly practices can be integrated into everyday landscapes.

Our plans

Vertical Farming Shed for Advanced Gardening
The project envisions the addition of a vertical farming shed, enabling participants, including Design and Technology (DT) enthusiasts, to engage in advanced farming practices. This innovative approach will improve gardening efficiency and inspire participants to explore cutting-edge solutions in sustainable agriculture.
Composting Machine to Minimize Food Waste
To address Hong Kong’s significant food waste issue—where 3,300 tonnes of food waste are sent to landfills daily, accounting for 30% of total municipal solid waste—the project plans to install a composting machine. This machine will convert food waste into nutrient-rich compost, reducing landfill contributions and supporting the garden’s ecosystem. By integrating this system, the project aims to demonstrate how small-scale initiatives can contribute to Hong Kong’s broader waste reduction efforts.
